 Our current series is called "Faith Heroes" - and each week we look at a bible character whose life points the way to knowing God personally, and following Him. We are learning how God uses ordinary people like you and me to accomplish extraordinary things. The secret? These are people who simply believed God. They took him at his word and based their lives on his promises. And God is still looking for heroes today!
Every summer, we feature a number of speakers besides Denis (our senior pastor) - missionaries we support, leaders within our congregation, and friends of MCC. Each message is given by someone committed to the journey of knowing God.
- August 1st - Dave Carson, one of our elders, will speak on the radical example of John the Baptist.
- August 8th - Kevin Robinson will look at Daniel.
So come and check it out. You won't meet any perfect people, but you'll meet a community of ordinary people seeking an authentic and extraordinary faith, and one that welcomes every visitor! We meet at 10 am at the Parish Center and we offer a great experience for children while the adults meet.

Sunday Morning A/V: We are looking for two more computer-savvy folks to join the team by learning the applications on the PC Windows computer. Training will be provided until you are comfortable. You will be scheduled once a month for Sunday services in a rotation with other volunteers.
Worship Team: Do you have a musical gift - voice or instrument?
Children's Ministry: We are in good shape for the summer, although it is a good time to take a test drive. If you have an interest in children, please contact Pastor Denis.
F.I.T. Team - First Impressions Team: We'd like more helpers to prepare that delicious coffee on Sunday morning and someone to coordinate the coffee schedule and supplies. We need smiling faces to greet our members and guests as they enter the lobby and helpers to prepare communion.
Facilities: Interested in helping maintain and care for our properties?
Office: Are you available to help occasionally with projects or mailings, produce the bulletin regularly or fill in when needed? Come join the office team.
Internet Ministry, Volunteer – We run an awarding-winning content management system (CMS) for our website and are looking for site editors. If you have experience with web development and are interested in joining our web ministry, contact us through the office.

YOUTH EVENTS IN AUGUST
 Reds Faith Day. MCC's youth invite you to join them Sunday, August 1, for the Cincinnati Reds fourth annual Faith Concert, this year featuring Grammy-winning band MercyMe. Game starts at 1:10 pm; Concert after the game. Contact Bruce Barnhill by THIS WEDNESDAY for more information and to make ticket commitments. reds.com/faithday
 Scenic River Canoeing. MCC's youth take to the Little Miami River by canoe Saturday, August 7. Meet at Scenic River Canoe Excursions, 4595 Round Bottom Road at 8:45 am. Bring a sack lunch for the picnic to follow at 1:00 pm. RSVP to Kaylie Eriksen by Monday, August 2 as reservations must be made in advance with Scenic River.  Back to School Blast. Mark your calendars now for MCC's annual youth and families' annual Back to School Blast, 5-8:30 pm, Sunday, August 22 at Mike and Lissa Cambrons'. There will be food, fun and fellowship as well as an opportunity preview plans for the 2010-11 school year. As is our tradition, we'll end the evening blessing each of our youth for their work and growth in the school years ahead. Contact Mike Cambron or any of the Youth Ministry Team for more details.
